Matthew 24:35 (NIV)
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”
Everything around us changes. People change. Governments rise and fall. Money loses value. Trends fade. Even the strongest buildings will one day crumble. But there is one thing that will never fail—the Word of God.
Jesus spoke these words in Matthew 24 while teaching about the end times. He was warning His disciples that many things in life are temporary. The world as we know it will not last forever. But God’s Word is eternal. His promises are unshakable. His truth stands forever.
This is why the Word must be our foundation. If you build your life on things that can fail like money, popularity, emotions, or even human wisdom, you will be shaken. But if your faith is built on the Word of God, you will remain strong no matter what happens around you.
God’s Word has never failed. What He said to Abraham came to pass. What He promised to David was fulfilled. What He spoke through the prophets came true. And what He has said to you, about your salvation, your purpose, your future, will also come to pass.
The devil wants you to doubt God’s Word. He wants you to think, “Maybe God didn’t mean what He said.” But Jesus reminds us that even if the sky falls and the earth disappears, His Word remains the same. It is eternal. It is dependable. It is alive.
So when life feels unstable, run to the Word. When your heart is full of questions, anchor yourself in Scripture. Speak the promises of God over your life. Trust that every word He has spoken is true. His Word will never expire, never fade, never fail.
Confession: God’s Word will never fail. I believe every promise He has spoken. I will build my life on His truth and trust Him through every season.
