Romans 10:17
“So FAITH COMES BY HEARING [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).”
Every human being created of God has ears and it is through this channel that sound enters into the heart of man. The ear is a powerful entrance into the heart that must also be guided strongly without allowing anything to subtly make it corrupt. It is through the ear that spoken words, songs and sounds of different kinds enter into the heart. A child that will be obedient must have a listening ear.
One thing that has always made God get provoked with the Israelites is the fact that they do not listen to the voice of the Lord. If the ear doesn’t pay attention, spoken words cannot have any impact on the heart. It is therefore necessary and important that you take note of the kind of words and songs that enter into your heart through your ears. Christians are supposed to be decisive and intentional about the kinds of songs they listen to and the kind of words they pay attention to. Paul told the Church in Rome that the only way for faith to come to a man is by hearing the Word of God.
Many Christians have been living in unbelief just because of the kind of words they hear. Words have a way of molding the life of a man. You cannot stay in a place where the only words they speak to you is that which tells you your limitations and has not at one time tell you about what God can do through you and then expert to accomplish anything great in life.
The same ears you use to listen to God, His Words and songs inspired by His Spirit are the same you use to listen to songs and words inspired by the devil. You cannot live a pure life this way. You need to start thinking about what you hear with your ears. Take a step today.
