Psalms 119:15 (NLT)

I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways. 

The life of a man can be filled with words from either God, man or the devil. Now, the one you diligently consider and reflect upon his words is the one who has the greatest chance of having control over your destiny. God knows the kind of evil that subtly dwells in the words of the devil and the wickedness that dangerously dwells in the words of a man, and so to save you who have been redeemed in Christ from falling victim, He gave you His Word. You have read it written about you in Philippians 4:13 – “I (YOU) have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me (YOU) [I am (YOU ARE) ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me (YOU) ; I am (YOU ARE) self-sufficient in Christ ‘s sufficiency]”. (AMP) {Emphasis Added}

But what does the devil and man speak to you? They both tell you words that speak more of your limitations than your sufficiency in Christ Jesus. Meditating upon the words of man can make you not do anything tangible with your life. Man tells you, based on what they are seeing about you presently, that you have no good thing to offer but God who knows and sees your future is telling you the kind of great future that lies ahead of you. Believing and ensuring that your mind stays on the Word of God bares you into the realms of possibility and reality.

Beloved, consistently and constantly reflecting upon the dying and discouraging words of men will only leave you in discomfort and disappointment. The word of God energizes and strengthens. By this word, you know that you have been endued with strength to overcome every challenge of life and win every battle. Then, this kind of word is worthy of your time and attention in study, meditation and reflection. Shalom!
