Think On These Things (29)

Romans 12:2 (AMP)

“Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].”

The Apostle Paul sent a message to the Church in Rome with regards to their minds which can be corrupted if they mistakenly allow it to be fed with the errors of this age. He gave a command of transformation. Transformation is a journey which starts from the mind and feeds on knowledge. You can only be transformed when you feed on the right kind of knowledge and because the world wants your mind to be polluted, you must always be about the renewal of your mind.

This cannot happen if you do not think on things that are of value, pure and of good report. You should begin to choose from today those things that will be so worthy of your time to think about. Your transformation lies in what you think upon regularly. God wants to do great things through you but it starts with your heart rightly and purely positioned. You should not allow other thoughts to dominate your heart apart from the ones that propel you to do God’s will.

Do not be conformed to this world in thoughts and actions, you have been called to be different. You can be different if you are intentional about it. You have the strength of Christ with you to make this possible and so you are not relying on your own strength to make this happen. Think on noble and worthy thoughts from the Scripture daily, that’s a good way to start your transformation journey. Be a wise and pure thinker.

Confession: My conformity is to Christ and not to the systems and ways of this world.
