1 Corinthians 13:4 (AMPC)
“Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.”
Kindness is an attribute of love that must be expressed by every believer. To be kind means to be sympathetic and helpful towards others who are in need at whatever point in their lives. Love is not unkind. Love doesn’t see the needs of others and despise it. Love doesn’t condescend others. Love is generous and gives out easily, both time and resources.
God’s love in us makes us kind to others. Love doesn’t act wickedly or bully others. A kind person who extends kindness to others expresses the love of God. A kind person doesn’t turn blind eye to his brother’s hurt. A kind person doesn’t look for his brother’s trouble. A kind person associates with his brother’s pain and extend the hand of help. A kind person doesn’t encourage his brother in wrongdoings but is quick to bring correction in love and not in a judgemental or condescending manner.
A kind person is concerned about the welfare of his brother. The world is a wicked place but Christians must not hesitate to show kindness at any given chance for that is love. Be kind. There’s so much unkind and wicked actions in the world right now, make a good difference and show people genuine kindness.
Confession: I do not live by the wickedness that exists in the world today. I am kind and I shown it.
