Colossians 3:15
“Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].”
Walking with the Lord Jesus brings you some goodies that can only be enjoyed by sons. Peace is one of such rewards. Life is full of challenges and tribulations, but in the midst of it all, there is peace. Peace is calmness in the midst of the storm. You have peace within yourself, and then have it towards others.
There are so many things that want to threaten our peace; we must be conscious of the things we allow into our hearts. The peace of God and the cares and worries of this world can’t be together; you have to deliberately and intentionally, with the help of the Holy Spirit, choose peace. Lack of peace brings fear and torment; it gives room for the enemy to operate and makes you worry about things that aren’t necessary.
Avoid being so busy or cumbered with just trying to survive; focus on accomplishing your visions and goals. Close all loopholes that want to threaten your peace and rest in all God’s promises concerning you, even when they don’t look like it.
Confession: I have peace within and without. No storm will make me lose my peace.
