The Godly Queen Hadassah (8)

Esther 5:2

“And when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight, and he held out to [her] the golden scepter that was in his hand. So Esther drew near and touched the tip of the scepter.”

There is no part of the Scriptures that a man is expected to ignore, neglect or disobey, for the Word of God is an instruction manual which is filled with words that are able to give a man life. Obedience to these instructions is key to living well and long. Mordecai gave Esther an instruction not to reveal her identity and nationality to anyone yet, especially those in the Palace, and the reason for this instruction came to manifest when Haman got a decree from King Ahasuerus to destroy all the Jews in the 127 provinces of this great nation. It is evident that if Haman had known of Esther’s origin, it is possible that Esther would have been implicated even before she could obtain favour in the presence of the king. There is always a secret weapon that God uses to break the back of the enemy that he doesn’t know about. And such a secret weapon of God obeys instructions to the letter.

After that, Esther and the Jews had fasted and prayed for three days; she put her life in God’s hands and then entered in to the king in his Palace as he was seated on his throne. As a result of her faith in God, she obtained the favour of the king, and she made her request known. The battle has already been won in the spiritual, and what is next now is to take the physical steps needed to materialise the victory and ensure that it is experienced. Many Christians pray well but fail to take necessary steps as God is leading them; they wait for something spectacular to happen in certain situations when the wisdom of God they have received in the place of prayer is spectacular enough to produce their desired results.

By the wisdom of God, Esther requested that Haman and the King come to her feast that she would make the following day. This request was granted, and Haman was really glad that he was specially invited, little did he know that his plans have been thwarted. Being patient and careful as led by the Spirit of God gives a man a lasting victory over his enemies. Never outrun God in your bid to get quick results. God’s process may be slow to you, but it is much more effective than your own quick way. Satan always like to be honoured but men like Christ have a way of defeating him. Prayer works. Patience pays. Wisdom is profitable to direct. True and godly wisdom is obtained from the place of fellowship with the Father.

Confession: The Spirit of Wisdom is at work in me, and I walk daily in supernatural wisdom.
