Proverbs 3:5-6 (AMP)
“Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].”
Prayer is a medium through which we communicate with God. When we pray to God, we speak to Him and He responds to us through His Word and other means – vision, godly counsel, inner witness, etc. But none of these other means can take the place of God’s word. The Bible is God’s Word to His people and a medium through which God communicates His plans, purpose and intention to his people.
To walk in God’s will, you must be a man of Prayer and the Word. At different points in our lives, there will be a need to make crucial decisions regarding our lives, ministry, marriage, family, finance, business, relationships, career, etc. In those moments, what God wants from us is communication through prayer. He does not want us to guess or assume. He wants us to wait on Him for instruction so we can know the right way to go. Proverbs 3:5 says, “Trust in the Lord, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge him and he will direct your path.”
Never leave God out when making decisions or living your regular daily life. God is as important at the beginning as He is through to the end. Be one who talks to God, recognizing Him as a loving Father who pays attention to you and only wants the best for you.
Confession: I trust the Lord in all my ways; I acknowledge Him, for I know that He will direct my path.
