Missions, Missionaries, and Mission Mobilization (1)

Mark 16:15-16 NLT

“And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.  Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.”

Every believer has been given the ministry of reconciliation according to 2 Corinthians 5:19. It doesn’t end with us been saved and getting comfortable. We’ve been trusted by God as believers to participate in the salvation of others, and the instruction is to go into all the world.

Every believer is a missionary. Our work for God is not limited to the Church; it extends outside the Church. Every believer should be passionate about soul winning. We have our place in the work of soul winning. It should be our desire to figure that out and carry out our part actively.

The disciples started from the upper room, where they were empowered before they went out to the end of the world. Before mobilization is empowerment. After empowerment, we are equipped for the assignment, and then we move in impact from our immediate environment to the ends of the world.

Every believer must partake in this. No believer has an excuse for not being actively involved in missions through whatever means. You pray. You give. You go. And keep playing your part actively. Even though there are some specially called to be missionaries, what you do in your closet as you pray can make a lot of difference on the field. What you give and your presence from time to time will also make a lot of difference as well. Do not be nonchalant.

Confession: Right from this moment, I repent for being nonchalant about missions and make a decision to be actively involved henceforth.
