One of the unfortunate reality that we have in our days as the Church is that, we have chosen to RELAX like Joshua when there are much more lands to conquer.
We tend to be too comfortable with ACHIEVEMENTS rather than seeking for the grace to finish up our ASSIGNMENTS, especially when it comes to the matter of MISSIONS.
A lot of churches, ministries and believers have one good thing or the other to say about MISSIONS, MISSIONARIES and rural church planting but we have so little or no commitment at all from such people, to the people and system of God they claim to be in love with.
The year is running to an end and you might be planning an end-of-the-year get together or picnic for your workers and leaders in church. Why not try and get everyone to an undisclosed venue then head for a village (you don’t have to start with a place that’s core rural, just find a place where there’s no Christ or His influence is LOW) and preach the Gospel of the Kingdom for 3 days then spend the remaining 3-4 days to yourself for reflection, revival and retreat?
What that will do is go IGNITE that passion for the lost.
Don’t let another set of lost souls enter into 2026 without Christ.
Okay, if you cannot GO because you’re thinking of the risk, mobilize your leaders and workers, just like you mobilize them to raise money for Church programmes, to get some amount and send to a missionary you are aware is going for MISSIONS this December.
The rural communities need the Gospel and I tell you, they need it urgently than you could ever imagine and may we be compassionate enough to heed the call to SERVE THE MASTER in ways that PLEASE Him and ways that PLEASE us.
Grace to you.
