John 8:12 (NKJV)
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Light in a simple term is a form of energy that enables vision and makes things visible. We can see in the beginning before the creations came into existence, God said in Genesis 1:3 that let there be light and there was light, God saw that the light was good. Light was the first good thing God created. Light is so good that Jesus said He is the light of the world and whosoever follow him will not walk in darkness.
Following is submitting to the authority and Lordship of Jesus Christ, following is doing the will of God even when it’s inconvenient, following is saying yes to Jesus’ instructions and command even on the days you don’t know why. Anyone who consciously follows the Light (Christ) by yielding daily to His instructions for life and living will never walk in darkness nor will he stumble.
The Scripture says in Proverbs 16:9 that a man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. Jesus as the Light shines on the plans of a man so as to go in the right direction on how to achieve the plans. Whatsoever plan you have outside THE LIGHT will cost you failure. Choosing THE LIGHT is choosing WISDOM.
Confession: Jesus is the Light that makes my path bright, so I choose Him and His ways always.
