Isaiah 60:1-2 (AMP)
“Arise [from spiritual depression to a new life], shine [be radiant with the glory and brilliance of the Lord]; for your light has come, and the glory and brilliance of the Lord has risen upon you. For in fact, darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness will cover the peoples; But the Lord will rise upon you [Jerusalem] And His glory and brilliance will be seen on you.”
Have you ever considered that the problem the world has, especially when it involves Christians, is Jesus the Christ? Yeah. You read that right! Many people have over the years turned their backs on friends, families and loved ones because of Jesus. Have you also wondered how many people are living their lives without FAITH in Jesus? Darkness overshadows any heart that do not believe in the salvation that Jesus brought.
Saul of Tarsus, in Acts 9, was an example of such experience. A man who believed in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His covenant with them but outrightly persecuted and killed those who believed in the Jesus that same God he served sent to save men from their sins. He was living in darkness but he was ignorant. His deliverance came when he encountered the Light which shined brighter than the light of the sun. And immediately, he was delivered and given life.
Until a man encounters Christ, he does not stop living in darkness. The best gift you can give to any man living in darkness is not wealth nor material possessions but light. And in this case, the preaching of the Gospel which brings light and life. Let no one be around you who has never heard how to be free from the siege and destruction that darkness brings. Anyone who is in Christ is in the light. Are you in Christ? If no, come into Him right now.
