“Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.” – John 14:6 (AMP)

Over the years, man has always tried to invent ways to reach God the Father both before and after Christ was born and He died and resurrected for the sins of humanity. When Christ came, He preached to all and sundry that He is the One who brings salvation to humanity.

Time and time again, Christ confirmed boldly and openly that He came from and He is the ONLY WAY to God. Many ways do not lead to God but just one way – Jesus – every other way apart from this doesn’t lead to God but to destruction.

As a disciple of Jesus, you must be careful not to adopt many other ways to reach God the Father. Religion is the invention of man to reach God but Christ is God’s invention for man to reach Him. There are different ideologies of men that people tend to tilt towards as a means to reach God or receive from Him but Jesus Christ is the only one who gives the means to access God.

Let there not be a day when you will think following Jesus only is not enough in your walk with God and you think you should add something else to it. Such action will set you up for disappointment and doom.

Daily follow the Lord Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Following any other way is the path of deception which ends up in death. Live wisely and walk the way that has been ordained for you to.

Reflections: What and who do I depend on as a means to receive blessings from God? Have I ever come to God on the basis of my righteousness?

Confession: I walk the path of life, and I choose the truth that God reveals to me. My life is set in God and fashioned by the wisdom of God. I do not walk the path of destruction.
