“Then Isaac planted [seed] in that land [as a farmer] and reaped in the same year a hundred times [as much as he had planted], and the Lord blessed and favored him. And the man [Isaac] became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and extremely distinguished.” – Genesis 26:12-13 (AMP)
Isaac was a man who listened to every detail of God’s instructions to him pertaining to his stay in the land of the Philistines. Predominantly, Isaac had one occupation, farming, which involved planting seeds and rearing livestock. When he got to Gerar and he received God’s Word for abundance, he didn’t just hear the word and then go back to sleep.
Diligence in doing what needs to be done unlocks miracles that are mind blowing. Many believers hear the Word of God concerning their lives and they just don’t do anything about it. God’s promises of blessings is not a means to live as lazy people. If Isaac had not taken the step of planting seed in the land, probably he would have meagre to eat daily but he would never have abundant wealth like he experienced.
What actions are you taking in alignment with the Word of God to you? This is one question you need to constantly ask yourself. Miracles are not far-fetched but not every miracle will happen just by praying and believing, there are others that will happen when you take decisive steps. You’ve been praying for quite a while, what are the instructions you’ve received from the place of prayer?
Whatever the Lord has committed into your hands to do will birth the results you desire. Isaac did not just obey the instruction of staying in the land, he also sowed in the land. He out to work what he’s able to do and he experienced the abundance. You need to align your faith with being active in doing what God instructs or has given you the ability to do. Don’t be idle and lazy while expecting some magic to happen. Be diligent.
Reflections: What are the things that God has enabled me to do which will unlock the door of my miracle? Am I diligent in doing what I am supposed to do?
Confession: I receive the Spirit of diligence and alignment. I stay in tune with the will of God for me. For me, miracles are real and they are manifested in my life daily.
