A Clarion Call To The Church: Go Ye Into Rural Africa

The FIELDS ARE WHITE, not just in the CITIES, but in the forgotten villages throughout RURAL AFRICA.

There is a storm brewing in those places, in the souls of young men and women whose lives are gradually slipping off our fingers while we unfortunately hold tightly to routine religion.

I know this because I labour in RURAL COMMUNITIES and I constantly see young men roaming the streets, finding “highs” that can ‘help’ numb their pains and what are those helps? Weed, cheap poisonous alcohol, hard drugs.

In villages where we enter and we see opportunities for WEALTH, you’d see the young men sitting for hours by roadside kiosks placing bets on “Baba Ijebu” and virtual games, hoping for luck to rewrite their poverty, while others have turned to motorcycle hustles by day and gang life by night.

What about the young women?

Very young and still girls, you’d see them they’re selling their bodies for as low as ₦1,000, a loaf of bread, or a meal.

I am not painting a picture that does not exist, and this is not FICTION, but the RAW REALITY of villages where Christ is yet to be PREACHED.

But here’s something we must WATCH OUT for:

They are moving!

Yes, the same way we longing to JAPA, they are also gradually MIGRATING to our cities, bringing their pains, addictions, and crime with them. Because they know no other way to survive, CRIME BECOMES NORMAL for them as SURVIVAL STRATEGIES, not sin, and if the CHURCH does not GO now, we may soon meet them again, not as MISSION FIELDS, but as THREATS.

The unreached we are currently ignoring in the villages may become armed robbers, cultists, prostitutes, and killers in the city, and we may be the VICTIMS of who they end up becoming, right in our well-dressed, air-conditioned sanctuaries.

We must labour to make sure the SWORD OF THE SPIRIT gets to them before the sword of destruction is handed to them.

We need more than a 3-day crusade; we need believers who are willing to GO, STAY, RAISE, and DISCIPLE, because this work demands more than just the MICROPHONE, it requires some rigour of DISCIPLESHIP.

Will you GO?

Will you SEND?

Will you DISCIPLE?

Will you PRAY?

Will you GIVE?

This is not just a call but a RESCUE MISSION, and the time to respond… is NOW!
