AFTER ANSWERED PRAYERS (2)

“Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice!” – Philippians 4:4 (AMP)

One of the consistent attitude of the Psalmist is that of rejoicing in the Lord always. King David wrote different psalms as he rejoiced in the Lord and in His power. When prayers are answered, what the Lord expects of us is that we rejoice in Him. Rejoicing in the Lord is both a posture and an act.

From the book of 1 Samuel 2:1-2,it is evident that Hannah rejoiced in the Lord after receiving the answer to her prayer. Don’t b too used with weeping and crying for what you desire so much that when the answer now comes, you lose touch with reality. Before the answer comes, the Lord wants you to rejoice and when it finally comes, you must let your rejoicing increase the more.

Many believers do not rejoice because as they are counting what the Lord has done, they are also counting that which He is yet to do. When some answers come and some others are delayed, the best and wisest thing to do is to truly rejoice for the answers you have received. Learn to rejoice in the Lord even when you feel like He still needs to do more. Be glad for the “little” that you think He has done.

When you allow the worries of the prayers that are yet to be answered overshadow the testimony of the ones He has answered, you will not be able to rejoice and you might be walking the path of being an ingrate. Don’t bI an ingrate. Let rejoicing be your watchword as you receive God’s blessings.

Action Point: Set out time to rejoice today and let your rejoicing be visible to all.

Confession: My spirit is glad and grateful. I rejoice in the Lord and I bless His name.
