Joshua 1:9 (NLT)
“This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Fear is an unpleasant emotion that’s triggered by threat or danger. Most times, however, our fear is built on illusion which in turn handicaps us and makes us fall short of who we ought to be or what we ought to do.
The fear of God is not so. It’s the type that infuses you with courage and wisdom to step out and shine for God. On the other hand, fear of taking a bold step, obeying God’s voice, opening up and unleashing your potential or even fear of little things to big things is not of God.
The Bible makes us realize that perfect peace comes from God and you counter such fear with faith. You take a bold step in faith, you try that new thing with faith, you create that new innovation with faith, you open up with faith, you begin to make use of your gifts and potential in faith9. If there’s one thing fear obeys, it’s the voice of faith. If there’s one thing that sponsors courage, it’s the voice of faith. Start doing what you think was impossible for you in faith.
Confession: I have the courage and boldness empowered by faith to walk in God’s realities for me.
