Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). It’s a principle of total confidence in God and all that He says; it makes a believer see beyond the norms—faith is an elevated sight and act beyond the physical. Abraham moved out of his father’s land to a place unknown, all because he had faith that faithful is He who has called him. Faith made him and his wife hold on to a promise of the coming of the child the LORD promised them, even when medically all hopes were sincerely lost.
You can’t enjoy God if you’re LOGICAL. God loves to do things that are unimaginable and unreasonable; He loves doing things that confound the doings of the wise; He loves showing acts that make the wise look foolish, and He loves giving out results that bring to nought the speed of the swift. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and if we will manifest these thoughts, we have to come in through FAITH.
The Bible reported how through faith men of little strength subdued kingdoms, how through faith a harlot can become righteous and be in the maternal lineage of JESUS, how through faith many obtained promises for their generation like Phineas, how through faith some stopped the mouth of lions, how through faith the three Hebrew guys quenched the violence of fire, how through faith many were made strong, and so on.
Faith is the strength that keeps a man going when all hopes are lost; it stands as evidence of things that the LORD has promised us but haven’t been seen with the physical eyes. Faith makes it easier for you to journey with God. On the days we stop walking in faith, we give room to fear to torment us and allow fear to shift our attention from what God is doing in our lives to lies. Be determined to have an unwavering faith in God.
Confession: I am not weak in faith, but I am strong and always will be.
