Proverbs 16:1 (MSG)
“Mortals make elaborate plans, but GOD has the last word.”
Man is a being created by God with the wisdom to make plans for the now and the future. Potentially, every human can make plans ahead for the future and may or may not involve God actively. Ever since the fall, man has always wanted to be in total control of his life without giving God much cognizance whatsoever. It is not new when a man decides to side-line God whilst making these plans but it is rather unfortunate that man learns the hard way on many occasions.
Can God truly be side-lined and removed from the completely whilst man makes his plans? It is not possible. God cannot truly be side-lined because He is able to interfere and He has done on many occasions. Man must continually understand what it means when the Supremacy of God is defined. God rules in the affairs of men and to be aligned, man must learn to lean back on God to make plans for the future.
The Omnipotence of God is one attribute of His that you must come to know and understand clearly for this helps you to be saved from wasting time and resources on plans that God do not sanction. Stay with God to know what He has in store for you, and let your plans be in alignment with what has been revealed to you by Him. Do not enter the new month by removing God out of the picture or planning without involving God.
Confession: I make no plans outside of God’s will for me.
