I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES (1)

“And Jesus said, [You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes! At once the father of the boy gave [an eager, piercing, inarticulate] cry with tears, and he said, Lord, I believe! [Constantly] help my weakness of faith!” – Mark 9:23-24 (AMPC)

Miracles are said to be the supernatural expression of the power of God to bring to the natural what are somewhat difficult or impossible to achieve by the logic or inventions of man. Every man in existence has at a point in time experienced or encountered these supernatural manifestations that were either loud or silent but definitely defied human reasoning.

But beyond the general experience of man with the supernatural manifestations of God’s power, being a believer or a Christian means that you have been saved and delivered from the kingdom of darkness and brought into light. And when you come into Christ, you mustn’t be selective in your faith in God. More than God would want to show the world how powerful He is, He wants to show and also do it through you.

Since you are now His child through faith in Christ Jesus, God no longer deals with you as He would with the people of the world who do not know Him. And so for this reason, you must prepare your heart to experience God in unusual dimensions. Your walk as a Christian is incomplete if you don’t believe in miracles or are indifferent about it. Miracles are real and they are meant to be your natural experience.

As the journey of a new month begins, you have to check with more certainty what your stand is on miracles is. One who does not believe in the power of God to cause the supernatural to happen shortchanges himself and will not enjoy in full what God has prepared for him.

Dear believer, be ready to journey into this month with the mind that you want to experience miracles in your daily existence. And this journey shall be aided by the Holy Spirit. You only need to yield and surrender to Him.

Reflections: Are miracles truly real? Have I ever desired and longed for a miracle? Is there anything called the supernatural manifestation of God’s power?

Confession: I am God’s beloved and I enter this new month with the promises of His plans for me which I trust and await their manifestation. I stay true to God’s purpose for me. I am strong in faith.
