“He answered, “Because of your little faith [your lack of trust and confidence in the power of God]; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, if you have [living] faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and [if it is God’s will] it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” – Matthew 17:20 (AMP)

One of the important things Jesus emphasized to His disciples countless times when it is related with experiencing the power of God is the need to have faith in God which is absolute trust in Him that He would do amazing things that are aligned with His will. There is no kind of miracle that a man expects from the Lord that does not require having absolute trust in God and His power to make the impossible possible.

In the passage for today, Jesus’ disciple’s were confronted with a problem but they could not provide solution no matter how hard they tried. When Jesus came into the scene, the expected result was delivered but Jesus rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart. When unbelief is allowed to take root in our hearts, what it births is hardness of heart. What this means is that God is not able to work through us and in us to bring glory to His name.

Having had the glimpse of some examples of miracles that happened in the Scripture, it is important to pay attention to things that can negatively affect the reception of the miraculous. God wants each of us to experience and enjoy His power often but if we allow unbelief take root in our hearts, it becomes increasingly difficult. You must never come to the place where you think God is limited by circumstances or maybe there is something too difficult for God to do.

How to deal with unbelief is to in line your ears to the Word of God often, and always. The Word of God, when allowed into the heart produces faith that births great results. The Scripture says that faith comes by the continuous hearing of the Word of God. So, what you must feed your heart is not the difficulty of the situation but the transforming power of God and faith in Him. This unlocks the doors for miracles to be a daily experience.

Confession: I am just and I live by faith. The Word of God produces the life of God in me. I have faith for the miraculous. For me, miracles are real and they are manifested in my life daily.
