“He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.” – Ecclesiastes 3:11 (AMP)
On a fateful day, Jesus encountered a man who had infirmity for 38 years. He couldn’t walk and whenever the water was stirred by the angel of the Lord for miracle healing to happen, someone would get in before him and that was his story year in, year out until Jesus came into the picture. When Jesus came, his healing came as well without needing to enter into the stirred water.
One of the things you need to understand about miracles is that they answer to God’s timing. There is a time God has set in the world of humans to make a lot of amazing things happen on the earth and in your life. If you read through the Scriptures very well, there are different instances of miracles that only happened when it was the right time in God’s sight. You need to know that no man can force God’s hands to move.
You might have been taught a lot of principles that you could follow that would unlock miracles in your life but realistically, a lack of understanding of God’s timing can make you think God is being wicked and certain principles must be followed every time to the letter before you can experience the power of God.
As you will later read in this series, you need to pay attention to timing. You will be frustrated if you are asking for miracle when God has not yet ordained it. God can do anything anytime but He chooses to do certain things at certain times because He is in control of times and seasons. So, one of your desire should be to align your heart with God’s timing for you. And as you pray, trust his timing to bring to pass that which you desire.
Reflections: Whose time do I trust over my life? Am I willing to pay attention to God’s timing for me or I’d rather live by my own timing?
Confession: I enter into the season of my miracles. My life radiates the glory of God and the life of God is at work in me. For me, miracles are real and they are manifested in my life daily.
