1 Peter 4:12-13 (AMP)
“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test you [that is, to test the quality of your faith], as though something strange or unusual were happening to you. But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, keep on rejoicing, so that when His glory [filled with His radiance and splendour] is revealed, you may rejoice with great joy.”
Ministry isn’t always a smooth road. If ministry is something you do without days that you would feel compelled to compromise, then faithfulness shouldn’t even be discussed. When you are faithful, it shows that through trials, temptations, and difficulties, you chose to stay true to the One who has called you. Often, walking in God’s will brings trials, misunderstandings, or periods of silence. These moments are not punishments but divine training grounds.
God uses trials to purify our hearts, strengthen our faith, and test our motives. Anyone who would do ministry God’s way must be ready to stand strong during those difficult and challenging times. God orchestrates these times to expose weaknesses and impure motives in order to deal with them. And many times, these times come as you grow in the faith and in the ministry.
Joseph’s path to the palace went through the pit and prison. Jesus Himself faced rejection even while doing the Father’s will. When you stay faithful in trials, God’s glory shines through your endurance. Every test has a testimony waiting on the other side. Don’t get tired. Don’t give up. The trials and tests are part of the training, and at the end of it, you will receive a great reward.
Confession: Through trials and difficulties, I will stay faithful to the One who has called and chosen me for His purpose.
