2 Corinthians 10:5 (AMP)
”We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ.”
The mind is a battlefield. God is on our side in this battle. The devil’s greatest strategy is patience in the form of lurking, and he uses a well-laid plan and strategy to build strongholds in our hearts. We need to constantly renew our minds with God’s word (2 Corinthians 10:45) and pray to God to help us win the battle, and in this battle, know that God is on our side.
In overcoming the battlefield of the mind, it’s a gradual process, and it helps us against pride setting in. We learn to acknowledge that the victory on the mind’s battlefield comes from God. When we make mistakes along the way, we should take a positive look at things and appreciate God for the progress made.
We need to kill negativity. We have control over our minds, and we can decide to use them for what we allow them to do. We can constantly subject our minds to brutal scrutiny, crushing good thoughts, and we can choose to embrace good and victorious thoughts. It’s a choice to make, but the empowerment comes from God. One good way to fill our minds with good thoughts is to read the Word of God and meditate on it. When we do so, we are closing the door against thoughts that are not of God and embracing God’s given thoughts, which leads to victory.
Confession: I receive empowerment to think Godly thoughts and walk in victory.
