Esther 4:14
“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall arise for the Jews from elsewhere, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this and for this very occasion?”
Nothing has ever happened and caught God unawares or unprepared; no, nothing at all, for He is the God who knows the end from the beginning; there is nothing that escapes His infinite knowledge and wisdom. God is all-knowing, and thus every situation that arises on earth and even in heaven meets His plans readily made available to produce and manifest God’s purposes, no matter what. In the times when humans think that the situation is hopeless and there is no way out, someone somewhere has obviously been prepared by God to bring a solution or stand in the gap to ensure that things go according to the plans of God. And this is to establish the fact that nothing is happening to you right now that God hasn’t prepared for; all He needs is that you trust Him to use whatever means He has made available to fulfil His words in your life.
Studying the book of Esther further into the third and fourth chapters, certain problems began to ensue for the Jews through a man named Haman, son of Hammedatha the Agagite, who detested Mordecai and all of the Jews because they wouldn’t bow to him, against their culture of bowing only to God, no matter the position of the man. This proud and promoted chief proposed to destroy the Jews because of this single reason, and with his position, power, and influence, he was able to get the king to sign a decree against the Jews, which was meant to destroy them. Know this truly: that the enemy of your soul is always out to destroy you since his ego and lust are satisfied. But it is your responsibility to take your stand against in a spiritual warfare, trusting God for victory.
There is a reason you are where you are right now, and there is a purpose to be fulfilled by the influence and ability that you possess; they are not there to satisfy your lustful desires but to fulfil God’s purposes here on earth. You need to understand this basic truth. There are many who have failed to maximise the use of their power and influence in fulfilling God’s purpose in the lives of others. As a Christian, God has chosen you specifically to stand in the gap and deliver a certain destiny or group of persons, but if you keep silent when you are supposed to be vocal openly and in the place of prayer, you won’t be able to carry this out. You must know the reason for your current location, influence, ability and power.
Confession: I maximise every opportunity God gives me to stand in the gap for the deliverance of others.
