Galatians 5:22 AMP
“But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness.”
The peace of God is the inner calmness in you. Even when things are going all out of hand and control, God’s peace in you is a consciousness that God is with you in all situations and so He is there with you even if it doesn’t look like it. It comes as a result of deep seated faith and trust in God. Peace is a knowing that God will never forsake you or anyone who truly calls upon Him. Peace is not denial, but an evidence that you truly believe in the word and power of God.
God’s word has shown us many times how He has accompanied His children through storms, through fire, through the waters and many unpalatable situations and they came out victorious always. Despite the unpalatable situation, when you know that God is with you, and He won’t let the fire hurt you and water overwhelm you, then you can boldly remain calm and choose peace in the face of chaos.
Where the peace of God is, fear has no place. Fear makes you doubt, cringe and cower. But peace fills you with assurance of victory and confidence. It’s God’s will that you live in perfect peace and trust him through difficult situations.
Confession: I allow the peace of God manifest in and through me in every situation.
