Prayer of faith is a prayer offered with genuine trust and confidence in God, His character, His power, and His promises. It is praying while believing that God is able to do what we ask, while also submitting to His wisdom and will.

The Bible also says that faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things, not seen.

Faith is believing even when things aren’t looking good, faith is believing and trusting, no matter the circumstances or situations

Faith does not mean trying to force God to do exactly what we want. Rather, it means trusting God completely, believing that He hears us, and trusting His answer—even when it is different from what we expected.

Faith is based on God’s Word. Faith grows from knowing and trusting God’s promises (Romans 10:17). Faith trusts God’s ability. The person praying believes that nothing is too difficult for God (Jeremiah 32:17; Luke 1:37). Faith does not depend on circumstances. Faith looks beyond what is currently visible and trusts God (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Faith involves confidence in God. We approach God knowing that He hears us (1 John 5:14). It submits to God’s will. Faith does not mean demanding an outcome; it means trusting God’s wisdom (Matthew 6:10; 1 John 5:14). It is persistent. Faith continues to pray without giving up (Luke 18:1).

Action Point: Take a step of faith today and pray in the direction of trust in God’s Word.

Confession: My faith is built on the Word of God and I am not weak in faith.
