Psalms 116:9 (NLT)
“And so I walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth!”
God’s presence transcends everything our human mind can comprehend or fathom. As believers, we ought to long for His presence above everything. Above fame, results, accomplishment and human acknowledgement. Success sometimes can lead us away from God’s presence, forgetting it was God that gave us in the first place.
Sometimes, religious activities can drive us far from God. What drives us from God’s presence might not be bad but we should remember that it is seeking the kingdom first before any other thing. Other things will follow, when the kingdom comes first. When other things eventuality come, it is to strengthen our kingdom seeking and not drive us away.
God gives wealth so we can lift others up and help in Kingdom expansion. God gives power so we can protect kingdom domain and many others. It is left to you to be intentional about your staying in God’s presence and not allow what He has given you be a distraction.
