Matthew 28:19 (AMP)
“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
The life of a disciple is to follow Christ, and this is a sacrificial life. Disciples are soul winners. A disciple is the one who takes a step closer out of the crowd to walk with Jesus. According to Romans 12:1, the sacrificial life of a disciple is a reasonable service. As a disciple, you must be able to spend and be spent, as described in 2 Corinthians 8:1-3. You have no excuse not to give in the kingdom.
A disciple goes beyond his or her ability for the sake of the gospel. A disciple leaves all to follow Jesus. A disciple is someone who has been with Jesus, through continual fellowship and prayer, and has decided to follow Jesus’ teachings and ways and way of life.
The life of a disciple is hard, but it’s not impossible. Because of the consecration, separation, and sacrifice, it may seem hard, but it’s not impossible. A disciple is the one God trusts with Kingdom matters. Are you a disciple?
Confession: I live sacrificially and selflessly for Christ and the course of the Gospel.
