Think On These Things (2)

Philippians 4:8 [KJV]

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Paul the Apostle was a man who, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, lived a life that could be emulated and much more put his life dealings in a book for those coming after to read and order their steps thereby. In his epistles, he made every reader know and have an understanding of the identity they now have in Christ Jesus, and this is the first way to experience victory over sin. In Philippians 1:1, Paul called the Believers here “saints” (Philippians 1:1 – PAUL AND Timothy, bond servants of Christ Jesus (the Messiah), TO ALL THE SAINTS (GOD’S CONSECRATED PEOPLE) in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops (overseers) and deacons (assistants)) – This is to show you that the moment you accepted the Lordship of Jesus and His saving power into your life, you already become a Saint.

But what will the devil want you to believe? He will want you to think and believe that since you still make mistakes and sin once in a while, then you cannot walk in the reality of being a saint, a person consecrated by God Himself. This is true! And if it is true, you should think on it. Ruminate and meditate on your new nature in Christ. The limitations you experience hindering your transformation has a lot to do with what you have allowed your mind to rest upon. Now that you are in Christ, living a holy life is very much possible because you are no longer a sinner i.e the nature of sin is no longer in you.

Beloved, it is necessary that you are reminded of who you are now that you are in Christ. Many are living below God’s expectations upon their lives because of the limitations that they have in their minds concerning their identity. Think on the truths of the Word of God. The Word of God calls you a saint and so that’s who you are. The more you think about this truth, the more it registers into your subconscious and the better you become as a Christian. Put your mind to work by allowing this truth find expression in you. Peace!

Confession: I am a SAINT and that’s who I am because I have a New Nature.
