Joshua 1:8 (AMP)
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful.”
Success is one thing almost everyone is seeking for in the world today. Every endeavour a man engages in is with the desire of accomplishing an amount of success. Joshua was a young man whom God appointed to take over from Moses, a man commissioned by God to deliver the Israelites from the bondage and captivity of Pharaoh, king of Egypt. Leading the children of Israel was surely not an easy task; however, God spoke to Joshua at the beginning of this great assignment. God told him to pay close attention to the Book of the Law for that is the surest way for him to be prosperous and be successful.
Success should come naturally to you as a believer if you will pay close attention to the Word of God. The reason many end up being failures in life despite the resources available to them is that they ignore the Word of God and exalt the opinions of men and strategies of men. Being a believer means that the whole essence of your life is found in the Word of God and you must read, study, meditate on and practice it daily for you to achieve your God-ordained success.
Dear believer, let your mind stay on the Word of God so well that you draw life and strength from it. Let your success in life be defined by the Word, not by the world. How does this happen? Through the Word, you know what God says to you and you have the strength to walk accordingly by the Word. Do not chase success outside of the confines of God’s will for you, that in itself is a sure way to fail. Seek to know and do the will of God.
Confession: I know the will of God for me and I have good success by the Word of God.
