Walking Daily in God’s Will

Romans 12:1 (AMP)

“Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.”

Knowing and walking in the will of God is supposed to be the daily experience of the believer because that’s what he has been saved to do. No Christian is saved to accumulate material wealth or ephemeral things, but we were saved in order that we be practitioners of God’s will here on earth. Sadly, many Christians find it a herculean task to do the one thing God ultimately desires of them.

Walking in God’s will begins with surrender, which is not a one-time event but a daily choice. The will of God is not about a distant future plan; it starts with saying “Yes” to God today. True surrender means handing over your desires, ambitions, and plans to Him, trusting that His way is better. Each day presents a new opportunity to renew your submission to God’s lordship.

Many people want to know God’s will for tomorrow but struggle to obey what He said today. Yet, daily surrender keeps our hearts aligned with heaven’s direction. When we daily do God’s will, our lives reflect His glory truly, and we become His true ambassadors on earth. What you must seek is not to know God’s will for tomorrow and do it, but to first know God’s will for today and do it accordingly. In that lies true living for God.

Confession: I am empowered by the Word to know God’s will for me today and by the Holy Spirit to do it.
