If the REVIVAL you prayed or are praying for arrives, won’t you hate the REVIVALISTS and shut the doorway, praying for the same revival you are shutting?
Many times when we pray that the LORD brings REVIVAL in an area, He answers but most times since it is not like we expected, we fight it and that’s why it is important for us to both be DISCERNING and possess a sense of URGENCY. We must know when it is the LORD that is working and when the flesh or devil is.
As we pray for REVIVAL to come, we must also understand the workings of the LORD as they relate to revivals so we don’t, out of IGNORANT ZEAL, stop what we prayed for. REVIVAL is not just about LONG HOURS of PRAYER but also involves KNOWLEDGE of both GOD, His WORD and His WAYS.
The ‘PRAYER MACHINE’ needs to be able to sustain LONG HOURS of SOUND DOCTRINE just as the WORDSMITH needs to understand the efficacy of LONG PRAYERS. A LASTING REVIVAL is born between TWIN components – PRAYER + WORD. Just for the sake that we can’t mention both at the same time, one isn’t superior to the other; they actually must work hand-in-hand.
REVIVAL IS POSSIBLE IF WE ARE DISCERNING!
