I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES (25)

“And He did not do many miracles there [in Nazareth] because of their unbelief.” – Matthew 13:58 (AMP)

Unbelief is one state of the heart the blocks out every expression of the power of God in a person or in a territory. Dishonour breeds unbelief. Doubt also breeds unbelief. The faith of man in God is a vital key to accessing God’s power. Every miracle that was recorded for the learning of believers was a product of faith.

When Jesus got to Nazareth where He used His childhood days, the people treated and spoke to Him with disdain because they were too familiar with Him and knew all about His early days in life. There have been stories of anointed men whom God couldn’t use in their immediate communities and even families because they felt they knew these men so well that there was nothing special about them that would make them carriers of God’s power for transformation.

This is one thing you must really deal with in your heart. Many Christians run after men of God that they didn’t know from anywhere and believe that God could use them for their lives but they never believe that God could use that man of God that they know so well for them. Over-familiarity can breed dishonour for God’s anointed and this produces unbelief in the heart. You must be careful. Your next miracle might be through that man of God who is your family member or friend that you do not honour.

Being a believer means to honour all men and give reverence to God’s grace upon their lives. Dear believer, never be caught in the web of dishonour. Let not unbelief be found in your heart. It can be subtle or loud, but whichever way it comes, you must deal with it.

Reflection: Unbelief is detrimental to what God desires to do in my life. Uprooting every source of it is as important as receiving what God has for me.

Confession: By the mercies of God, I live in honour for all men. I believe His servants and I do not doubt His words to me. For me, miracles are real and they are manifested in my life daily.
