Proverbs 4:18 (NKJV)
“But the path of the just is like the shining sun, That shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.”
Fervency is a necessary character of the disciple who would accurately live for Christ in this world. Fervency in Word and Prayer and the things that please Christ. A disciple must show intense passion for the things of God. You must not be hot today and tomorrow turn cold, you must be consistent with that which makes you fervent.
God was giving instructions to Moses and Aaron how that the fire must not go out of the Altar and wood shall be placed on it day and night. Consistency is needed in serving God, consistency is needed to following hard after God and consistency is needed to keep up till we get to heaven.
Jesus detests being lukewarm and for this reason He promises to spew out anyone who is neither hot or cold. A neither hot nor cold coffee does nobody any good, and so does a believer as such is. There must never be a time when the devil has rule and dominion over you and makes you cold uncommitted to the things of God. Let not your fire of Fervency go out, come what may.
Confession: I pay attention to my Fervency and I build consistency by the help of the Holy Spirit.
