I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES (16)

“And he said, “O Lord, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today, and show lovingkindness (faithfulness) to my master Abraham. He said, “Blessed be the Lord, the God of my master Abraham, who has not denied His lovingkindness and His truth to my master. As for me, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brothers.” – Genesis 24:21, 27 (AMP)

Eliezer, Abraham’s chief servant, received an instruction from his master to go to Mesopotamia in order to find a wife for his son, Isaac. Abraham made him swear that he would not take a wife from any other land apart from his former country. With this instruction and oath, Eliezer went on his journey. This task was quite a difficult one because he would definitely meet many young and beautiful virgins in the land who could become Isaac’s wife but he needed to choose one. Then he prayed.

Eliezer prayed for favour and prayed to be led to the right lady for Isaac. Isaac was a son of promise and through him and his wife, the covenant of God to Abraham would continue, so it makes sense that someone like that wouldn’t just choose anyhow person as wife. When Eliezer got to the land, he sat by the well and what he prayed for and the markers he put in place for the choice of the right one played out.

The leading of the Lord while making destiny-deciding decisions is a blessing many don’t recognize or appreciate. In whatever area of your life, when you live a life of clarity and precision, you must know that it is a blessing and the way to live as a believer. Many people do not believe that God can and wants to lead them in every area of their lives. The man, Eliezer, was quite surprised at the response to his prayer that he got and he promptly gave thanks to the God of his master, Abraham.

Of every evil man experiences in life, confusion can be the worst because a confused man lives a life without purpose and direction. This servant experienced this miracle because he prayed and trusted in God to answer. God doesn’t want you to live in confusion just as He doesn’t want you to live in sickness and retrogression. You must desire clarity and pray for it and believe for it too. There is no joy or boast in living a confused life. This is a daily miracle you should enjoy as a believer.

Reflections: In what area of my life am I experiencing confusion? What is my response? Have I yielded to it or I desire clarity?

Confession: I am in the light, I do not live a confused life. I receive clarity and direction in every are of my life. For me, miracles are real and they are manifested in my life daily.
