Know Your Place

1 Corinthians 3:6 (NKJV)

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.”

Every believer has a place in God and a role to play in His Kingdom. A believer cannot do nor be everything all alone in this Kingdom. We all have a place where God wants us to all function to our fullest capacity. Paul was called to plant (sow the seed) and Apollos was called to water (nurture the seed).

If Paul who was to sow decided that he doesn’t want to sow, likewise Apollos not wanting to water, there will be confusion and disorganization, and this gives room for the devil to operate. If the one who ought to water says it’s the work of the one who sows he wants to start doing, the seeds will start dying cause there’s no one to nurture. No assignment is greater than the other, the LORD gives assignment in order of our capacity, the reward of every assignment well done is the same.

Whatever it is God has committed into your hands isn’t small, do it with all diligence and humility. Your part in the body of Christ is as important as every other part. It’s the gimmicks of the devil to make you feel your part is useless or less important, don’t fall for it. Focus on what has been committed into your hands and faithfully do what is expected of you.

Confession: I know my place in God’s Kingdom and I say there diligently and faithfully.
