Let Christ Be The Centre

In the world that we are now, we find out that, in many churches, there are people who never met the Lord, didn’t surrender their lives to Him through repentance from their sins nor did they accept His Lordship. The only thing that makes them affiliated to Christ in a sense is that they go to Church every Sunday with other believers but deep down, they know they don’t belong to Him.
This situation is a sad one because, many times, it makes it difficult to distinguish between the genuine and the counterfeit. It makes the people of the world think that everyone who goes to Church is the same once they’ve had a bad experience with one who claims to go to Church, and it is about time we took a decisive step in the direction of making a difference.
Dear Pastor/Minister of the Gospel,
BE SURE TO INVITE TO CHRIST BEFORE INVITING TO CHURCH.
One of the reasons we are where we are is that we prefer having our Churches filled with crowd than with true disciples of Christ, and this is motivated many times by the desire to be tagged as one of the fastest growing Churches in the community.
It is surprising how Churches claim to go for evangelism which is supposed to be for the purpose of winning souls but deep down, their focus is about the increase in their Church attendance and not necessarily the salvation of souls. In this kind of scenario, their Church is what they project and not Christ.
I believe that if Christ is preached and a sinner converts through the preaching of Christ, church attendance for the purpose of growth and maturity should come as secondary, and it doesn’t necessarily have to be your church.
In short, be more concerned about the salvation of sinners than the numerical growth of your Church. Both are important but the former is more of a priority than the latter.
May the Lord grant you understanding. Amen.
