“So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts upon them [obeying them] will be like a sensible (prudent, practical, wise) man who built his house upon the rock.” – Matthew 7:24 (AMP)

After long hours of teaching, Jesus brought His Sermon to a strong and concluding part. He knew that there were different persons who were there to listen to Him but He categorised them into two: the wise and the foolish. And, indeed, these are the two kinds of people who are in the world. There can be no in-between.

Obedience makes a man wise and disobedience makes him foolish. It is not enough to listen to long sermons or teachings of the Word, what really brings fruition to the Words you have heard is what you do with the Words. The Word of God is not supposed to be heard and ignored but heard and acted upon. It is when you act upon the Word of God and you build your life on it that you can live a life of wisdom.

The devil deceive many today by making them forget whatever they have heard in any teaching session. You must always put the word of God in remembrance as this will help you to work towards doing it. Let that be your focus: doing the Word of God. The Word of God makes wise the simple and brings clarity to the confused. Let your life be marked by genuine and prompt obedience to the Word of God. Practical Application: How often do you intentionally put the Word of God into practice? Take some time to reflect on this and adjust where you are not doing well.

Confession: The Word of God is alive and powerful in me, causing great transformation and prosperity in my life. I am not just a hearer of the Word but a consistent doer. The Word of God shapes my life in alignment with the will of God for me.
