John 1:4 (AMP)
“In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men.”
The earth was created by God, it was formed from nothing. Life did not just exist in the earth that God created. There was a reality that could be used to identify the earth according to Genesis 1:2 (AMP) when the Bible says “The earth was formless and void or a waste and emptiness, and darkness was upon the face of the deep [primeval ocean that covered the unformed earth]. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.”
The earth was a place where darkness and death ruled and reigned until the Light came in Genesis 1:3 (AMP) when God said “…”Let there be light”; and there was light.” The coming of the light signaled the existence of life and vitality and fruitfulness. Darkness and death is the experience of anyone who does not know the Light nor lives in Him.
You cannot find the true Light and Life elsewhere, this is only a reality present in Christ. You must know and agree with certainty and conviction that Christ has come to give you light and life so that your life won’t be a daily experience of stumbling and confusion. Death, eternally, awaits whoever does not have the Son who gives life. Accept this Light today and saved.
