Winning faith is the kind of faith that keeps reaching for Jesus, even when the situation has gone on for a long time. In Mark 5, we meet a woman who had suffered for twelve years and had spent all she had seeking help. Nothing had changed. Yet when she heard about Jesus, she believed that touching His garment would be enough. She did not allow her long season of pain to make her stop believing.
The woman did not have a loud prayer or a perfect explanation; she simply came to Jesus with faith. There were many people around Him, but she pressed through the crowd because she believed that Jesus could change her story. Sometimes winning faith means pressing through discouragement, delay, disappointment, and fear. It means saying, “I may not know when it will happen, but I still believe that Jesus is able.”
What makes her story powerful is that her faith moved her to action. She did not only hear about Jesus; she moved towards Him. Faith is not just what we say with our lips; it is also seen in the steps we take. When God gives you an instruction, obey Him. When His Word tells you to keep praying, keep praying. When He says trust Him, choose to trust Him even when your feelings are telling you otherwise.
There may be moments when your answer seems delayed and you begin to wonder if God has heard you. Remember this woman. Twelve years did not cancel her testimony. The delay did not mean that Jesus had forgotten her. Your waiting season is not proof that God is absent. Keep reaching for Him, keep believing His Word, and keep your heart open to His timing and His way.
Winning faith does not give up easily. It keeps its eyes on Jesus and refuses to let circumstances have the final word. Like the woman who reached for Jesus, keep reaching, keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting. Your faith may feel small, but when it is placed in a great God, it can carry you through difficult seasons. Let your faith say today, “Jesus, I still believe.”
