“There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1 (AMP)
Jesus and every author of the Scripture, including the Apostles, taught on the subject of prayer and lived in the possibilities of prayers. Through the pages of the Scripture, it is evident that not are prayers are answered and sometimes answers are delayed for a reason and for a season. Many assume that God is not alive just because a prayer they offered unto God didn’t yield any results or response. But is God truly dead? No. God is alive and ever powerful. What then is the reason for some unanswered prayers or delayed answers?
One aspect that answers this question is that of process and time. The Scripture says there is time for everything. As great as God is, He has given time to control the affairs of men. Every human on earth will live and walk within the limited expressions of times, seasons and process. And God has so orchestrated this for orderliness and alignment to His purposes and plans.
Many prayers have delayed answers on the earth because they are not aligned with the time God has set in His infinite wisdom. Truly, God wants every child of His to have a good and comfortable life but in His time. Everything happens within the frame of time. A prayer can be said today but the answer is needed for ten years to come. But because man’s understanding and wisdom is limited, he begins that God doesn’t want to answer him.
Before you question the power of God because you are yet to receive answers to your prayers, ask the question of timing. When the timing is right, the answers will come, all other things being right. There are some things you are so much worried about now that it’s a waste of energy because, if truly you are God’s child, no matter how much you worry, the answer will not come. So, before you conclude that God is wicked, have you confirmed if it is time for you to have what you ask.
Action Point: Take steps and actions based on how this communicates with you.
Confession: For I have the Spirit of God, I have the understanding of God’s will for me and I am empowered to do His will.
