I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES (2)

“And Jesus said, [You say to Me], If You can do anything? [Why,] all things can be (are possible) to him who believes! At once the father of the boy gave [an eager, piercing, inarticulate] cry with tears, and he said, Lord, I believe! [Constantly] help my weakness of faith!” – Mark 9:23-24 (AMPC)

Throughout the ministry of Jesus, as we would later highlight, many people believed in Him for miracles. Some were able to vocally show their faith to be healed, while some others couldn’t, but one thing stood out – faith in the power of God is an essential in unlocking the realms of the miraculous. There is no way a man can experience God without having faith in Him and what He’s able to do.

In the Scriptures and even in today’s experience, miracles serve a number of purpose. Miracles happen to bring back into the consciousness of man that there is One who rules in the natural and the supernatural and He is infinite and unlimited in power. When many go through life, they do so as though God is a man who is limited as they are. God allows for the show of His power to let such know that He is not a man that can be limited.

When God does this, all glory is restored to Him alone. A lot of people, when they experience certain supernatural happenings, they try to explain it away and attribute it to some kind of luck or coincidence but with God, these do not exist. Miracles make men acknowledge the power of God in an unusual way. Everyone who knew and experienced the power of God acknowledges His greatness.

Miracles, many times, serve as means to bring men back to God. History records many people who didn’t choose to follow God until they experienced His power in unusual ways. Every miracle points to the truth that the only One worthy to be served is the True God. And this silences the limited power of the evil one in making the worst of every situation. God’s power works in different ways to bring restoration and salvation.

Dear believer, you need to pay attention to these things. Whatever miracle you receive from the Lord must not be the reason you stand aloof from God or draw away from Him. Let your heart be so tempered that every experience of the supernatural leads you to worship and a closer walk with God. Let it also be a means through which you tell the world of the greatness of God. Don’t join people who make light of God’s power or attribute His mighty working as luck or coincidence. God is intentional about you to show you His power. Hold these truth dear in your heart.

Reflections: Is luck and coincidence a term I should believe in? Does this exist in my relationship with God as a Christian?

Confession: I am expectant of the power of God because I am His and He is mine. He is all out to do me good and make me experience His greatness. For me, miracles are real and they are manifested in my life daily.
