“The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.” – Genesis 1:2-3
The beginning of all things began with a miracle that echoes through eternity. The earth, as it was known and recorded, was without form, and void and gross darkness ruled the face of the waters. This is a condition that does not support any creative work of any intelligence until something is done to change that situation and condition. Creating something out of nothing is one of the loudest definitions of a miracle.
The earth was in a state of dilemma but God needed to make something beautiful out of it. What did He do? He spoke. Miracles don’t happen by default, they happen if and when the Word of God is SPOKEN and DECLARED into the situation. The Word that God spoke brought the earth and everything therein into existence and thus implies that God’s Word is so powerful that it is able to create something out of nothing.
Being a Christian means you believe in the Word and power of God. One of your duties to see the power of God at work and miracles happen in and around you is to ECHO the Word God has spoken until it becomes a reality. Echoing the Word is not the same as positive confession. Positive confession may originate from the soul realm of a man but the Word of God is spirit and life and it originates from God Himself.
When you align your thoughts and words with God’s, you experience great and mighty things like it was experienced in Genesis 1. You just know and understand that certain situations around you will not change, you won’t stop having unpleasant experiences until you start to declare what God has said into your life. Miracles happen by the word, by the Word of God re-echoed by man. Task yourself with doing this often and see things change.
Reflections: How powerful do I think the Word of God is? Is the Word of God limited in its operations?
Confession: I am God’s beloved and I have His Word. His Word is alive and powerful in me. I hold on to His Word until I experience the power therein. For me, miracles are real and they are manifested in my life daily.
